I have not formed a party – Chishimba Kambwili

Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili has reacted angrily to on-line media speculations that he has formed a political party whose symbol is a middle finger.

Controversial Zambian online publications are circulating a story that Kambwili who was recently expelled from the ruling party has formed a political party but could not tell the name of this party.

According to social media, Kambwili was seen driving around the streets of Luanshya while mobbed by his supporters after word went round that his Secretary General Mwenya Musenge has been given a certificate of registration by the Registrar of Societies.

When reached for a comment, Kambwili, popularly known as Imbwili or Junior King Cobra denied the story as a mere speculation.

He admitted driving around the streets of Luanshya but indicated that he was touring his Constituency.

Kambwili said no sane person would expect him to form a political party when he is challenging his expulsion in court.

“How can I form a political party when I am challenging my expulsion in the Courts of Law. Is there sense in that story . It is true I was in the Constituency driving around after making donations in schools. It wasn’t a political event but a pure developmental mission,” Kambwili said.

Kambwili and President Lungu have been shadow boxing since the Roan MP was axed from the ruling party.
