Husband Murders Wife In Monze

A 32-year-old woman of Monze district in Southern Province has been murdered by her husband using sticks following a marital dispute.

Southern Province Police Commissioner, Bonnie Kapeso has identified the victim as Mildred Habasefu of Chisolo Village in Chief Hamusonde’s area.

Mr Kapeso says the murder happened around 21:30 hours last evening.

He says the victim’s hands were tied by her husband identified as Pumulo Sililo before he beat her to death using sticks.

Mr Kapeso says Sililo is currently on the run and police have since instituted investigations in the matter.
