Hichilema Invokes Panga for Panga Message Ahead of Mayoral Race

The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema has sounded war drums in the aftermath of his party’s mayoral candidate Kangwa Chileshe successfully filing his nomination.

Hichilema has penned a violent note to his party’s supporters to be ready to strike back violently if attacked by any other political party.

The note by Hichilema is reminiscent of the ‘Panga for Panga’ philosophy espoused in the Chilanga by-election.

Below is his Full Advisory to his team:

Thank you to all our candidates across the country for successfully filing in their nominations for the various positions in the July, 2018 by-elections.

To all our members: go out and campaign and on the election day vote UPND.

We would like to emphasise that when attacked, you must defend yourselves. This is not time to be cry-babies. Even babies grow.

To the youths, it’s time to protect both the voters and the votes as responsible citizens to help the police to maintain law and order.

Lastly we are confident that we will win these by-elections and Lusaka is top on our list as our candidate, Kangwa Chileshe is ready to deliver service to the people of Lusaka.

May God bless our country!

HH.
