HH’S visit to US paying off – UPND Alliance

Clinton Masumba-The UPND Alliance says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s visit to the United States of America is already paying off, something opposition Political parties should begin to appreciate.

UPND Alliance Media Director THABO KAWANA has told Journalists in Kitwe that the $ 18.5 million from the USAID towards the Covid-19 fight is a clear indication of good will from the American Government.

Mr. KAWANA said it is unfortunate to hear opposition Political parties like the Patriotic Front trivializing the President’s visit to the USA.

He said President HICHILEMA in a short period of time has managed to meet important stakeholders like the World Bank and International Monetary Fund IMF to discuss various issues.

Mr. KAWANA charged that the Patriotic Front failed to meet its lenders but instead engaged a consultant to negotiate national debts on their behalf.

He further noted that the letter by the Patriotic Front to the US Embassy over President JOE BIDEN’s remarks is laughable.

Mr. KAWANA said the Patriotic Front was voted out of power because of alleged corruption as seen by the buying of expired drugs in Hospitals.

He observed that young people turned up in numbers to reject the Patriotic Front in an election due to arrogance and opted for the UPND Alliance Government.
