HH’s supporters now take swipe at SDA Church
Supporters of the opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema have now taken a swipe at the Seventh Day Church (SDA) for what they call docility,passiveness and casual approach over him as a member of the Church.
Hichilema or HH as he is commonly called was arrested over two weeks ago in a brutal manner and has been detained facing treason charges.
His Supporters say the SDA as a Church HH is an elder and has supported has been mute on the matter despite other Churches such as Roman Catholic and Pentecostal Churches speaking out on the injustices.

The SDA have disappointed us with their docility,passiveness and casual approach over the case of HH. How can they abandon their son HH?I mean how can they remain mute,this is indeed an affront to the President HH who is affiliated to their church SDA and above all to the body of Christ as a whole.Surely what kind of this church is this that can stay mute ,can’t visit him and keep quiet at the expense of justice,compassion,Solidarity and love,when Jesus demonstrated it in the Bible.If the catholic and divided pentacoastal church can talk what of the SDA where his son comes from.Yes Candidly speaking I fathom and agree that the SDA is quiet over politics but I guess this is not about politics but about justice,love and compassion that Jesus showed and demonstrated to us.#FreeHH“
Another UPND Supporter Austin Nankulo who is also an elder at SDA says: “Yes I’m actually disappointed that as church we have not prayed for such and done nothing.”
“Imagine some churches they pretend to be holy especially SDA in capital letters,” supports Barbra Chinene.
But Daniel Nsomekela says: “The problem is – the Church is only blamed when the big fish of society are caught in the net of injustice – what do you say about the rest of the poor ? Church starts with individuals in the community. The bible says God is no respecter of man – so it does not matter whether is rich or poor , they should both be subjected to same justice . As on the case of Mr. HH- I think , politics is the one at play here from both parties.”
Sydney says: “What a church that’s why my late mum left some church to join catholic coz of the docility and luck of humility they think keeping quite will help?hh is going through political persecution from his competitors on trumped up charges just to silence him.”
Angel Siwingwa says: “His he really an elder ku seventh day ? He has no respect for church laws he is always breaking the sabbath just in order to prove to people that Lungu is not the President of ZAMBIA.”
