HH thanks China for support

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has thanked CHINA for its support to Zambia during the debt restructuring process.

President HICHILEMA said this when he held a closed door meeting with Chinese Minister for Agriculture TANG RENJIAN at State House today.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Agriculture Minister MUTOLO PHIRI said President HICHILEMA and Dr. TANG discussed bilateral issues and areas of possible cooperation in the agriculture sector.

Mr MTOLO said the meeting is a precursor to President HICHILEMA’s state’s visit to China.

He said the meeting also discussed how Zambia can benefit from agriculture equipment that China manufactures.

Mr MTOLO said the President and Dr. TANG also discussed how Zambia can learn best agricultural practices from China such as irrigation and how the two countries can engage in joint farming activities.
