HH REMEMBERS FREEDOM FIGHTERS

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has led various dignitaries in laying wreaths at the Freedom Statue to commemorate Africa Freedom Day.

President HICHILEMA who arrived at the Freedom Statue in LUSAKA at around 09:30 hours  was received by Senior government officials.

And Zambia Correctional Services Head of Chaplin Reverend SAM ZULU says there is need for Zambia to take advantage of the abundant natural resources to transform the nation.

Reverend ZULU says this resonates with President HICHILEMA emphasis on adding value to the country’s raw materials.

In a homily, Reverend ZULU said citizens should adopt the spirit of hard work and stop relying on handouts.

And Zambia United National Freedom Fighters Association Treasurer BETTY CHILUNGA urged the young generation to work hard to economically liberate not only Zambia but Africa as well.

The Commemorations have been held under the theme Acceleration of the African Continental Free Trade Area implementation.

And in Kitwe the Church has been urged to preach messages that will promote reconciliation, healing and unity in the country.

In his Homily during the commemoration of Africa Freedom Day, Zambia Police Kitwe District Chaplain Reverend JOHN MUFWAMBI also called on Zambians to be responsible and Patriotic to the country.

Zambia United National Freedom fighters Association Provincial Chairperson JOHN WALUKA called on leaders to follow the legacy left by the country’s founding fathers as the country is enjoying the freedom because of them.

Mr. WALUKA has called on the government to quickly resolve the country’s debt situation.
