HH pledges to help Church complete Gibeon boarding school

Tamara Muswala-President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has pledged government support to help complete Gibeon boarding school being built by the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nseluka area of Kasama in Northern Province.

President HICHILEMA says the government appreciates the efforts of the church in ensuring every child has equal opportunity to be in school.

The President says government will ensure that the school is complete so that children can have access to better education.

And, President HICHILEMA has encouraged the congregation at Mulenga Hills SDA church in Kasama to believe in GOD.

Mr. HICHILEMA says the government and the church are not in competition but must work to serve GOD’s people.

Mr HICHILEMA was speaking this morning in Kasama when he attended church service at Mulenga Hills SDA church before proceeding to Ng’wena where he is attending the Ukusefya PANG’WENA traditional ceremony of the BEMBA speaking people.

The President was accompanied by Minister of Health SYLVIA MASEBO and other senior government and party officials.

Earlier, SDA Northern Zambia Field Pastor SAMUEL SINYANGWE thanked the new dawn administration for the peace and unity that the country is enjoying.

Pastor SINYANGWE also said the employment of over 30 thousand teachers and over eleven thousand health workers is something unequalled.

He said the church is aware of the efforts the government through the leadership of President HICHILEMA is making to ensure that the country picks up economically.

Meanwhile, SDA Northern Zambia Executive Secretary Pastor EMMANUEL MWEWA said the church is happy to worship with President HICHILEMA .
