HH overtakes Lungu
The race is still tight between the two frontrunners, incumbent Edgar Lungu and opposition Leader Hakainde Hichilema, with the later taking the lead by about 11,000 votes, following the release of the latest results from 13 constituencies by the ECZ.
According to the results announced around 19:00 hours this evening, UPND candidate Hichilema has now amassed 384,801 votes, while Lungu is not far behind with 373,496 votes from the 42 constituencies verified so far.
From the 42 constituencies, Lungu of the PF has won 28 while Hichilema has taken 14.
The ECZ will release more results at 22:00 hours this evening.
