HH Nominated for Palesh Abuja 2022 Honours

Mwila Nsofu-President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA and his Ugandan Counterpart, YOWERI MUSEVENI are among the four Heads of State in Africa nominated for the 8th Pan African Peace Leadership Summit and Honors (PALESH) slated for August this year in Abuja, Nigeria.

Others are President UHURU KENYATTA of Kenya and President FELIX TSHISEKEDI of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

President HICHILEMA has been nominated for the award as Humanitarian ICON of Peace for his pragmatic leadership and creation of peace and unity in Zambia following his victory in the August 2021 General Election.

President MUSEVENI, on the other hand has been nominated for his excellent leadership and outstanding role of ending apartheid in South Africa, ending of genocide in Rwanda and most significantly, for his performance in solving the Burundi Conflict, South S
dan, DRC, Central Africa Republic, Chad and Somalia.

He has been nominated for the award as Grand Commander of Peace.

The annual event organized by Arise O Nigeria Centre for Leadership and Enterprise Development in collaboration with the International Peace and Governance Council has set the date in August to coincide with the commemoration of the United Nations World Hum
nitarian Day which falls on August 21st, 2022 at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, Abuja, Nigeria.

The International Honor and Awards event is aimed at recognizing personalities who have contributed positively in Peace Dialogues, Conflict Resolutions, grassroots community development, massive youth and women capacity building while uniting leaders who ha
e strong passion for humanity and serving as catalysts of social change in Society.
