HH ,Masisi calls for full utilization of Kazungula bridge asset

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA and his counterpart MOKGWEETSI MASISI have called for the optimalization of the Kazaungula bridge asset.

The Heads of State says this will ensure uniformity in the re-development of areas near the bridge.

President HICHILEMA and Dr MASISI have also called on the relevant offices to expedite negotiations on pending agreements.

This was in a Joint Communique read by the Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary ETAMBUYU GUNDERSEN after the two leaders witnessed the signing ceremony of the 10 instruments of Cooperation.

The Presidents also said that the construction of the rail line will encourage traffic passing through the bridge and enhance trade beyond the two countries.

And, Stakeholders have welcomed the signing of the 10 MoUs between Botswana and Zambia.

ZDA Director General ALBERT HALWAMPA said trade between Zambia and Botswana has been relatively low and there is need to increase trade between the two countries.

And, Southern Province Minister CREDO NANJUWA said the MOU signed will open the province to many investment opportunities and enhance trade.

Mr. NANJUWA has since urged Zambians to take advantage of the signed MoUs to participate in the various development programmes.
