HH EXPECTED IN UK FOR SUMMIT

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is  Saturday October 30 expected depart for the United Kingdom to attend the World leaders summit of the United National Frame work convention on climate change -UNFCC.

Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation STANLEY KAKUBO has told journalists at a press briefing the President will be attending the summit at invitation of the United Kingdom Prime Minister BORIS JOHNSON.

Mr. KAKUBO said the summit will be held from November 1st to November 5 and that President HICHILEMA will again be accompanied by a lean delegation.

He said among the delegates will be himself and Economy and Environment Minister COLLINS NZOVU.

Mr. KAKUBO explained that during his visit, President HICHILEMA is expected to hold meetings in London with members of the House of Commons and UK policymakers, potential investors and Eurobond holders.

He said the meetings are part of the strategic engagement of the President aimed at making progress towards the UPND Government’s vision of economic transformation.

Mr. KAKUBO said the meetings are also critical for Zambia’s economic recovery and sustainable economic development.

One Hundred and 19 Heads of States and Government are party to the United Nations Framework convention on climate change.
