President HAKAINDE HICHILEMEMA is concerned with the state in which some the freedom fighters are living.

President HICHILEMA says some freedom fighters have continued to struggle despite having sacrificed for the country’s liberation.

The Head of State adds that Freedom fighter deserve to be taken care of as a way to honour them.

The Head of state said this in speech read on his behalf by Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO during the funeral mass of freedom fighter CHRISTINE MULINDIKA at Saint Ignatius Catholic Church in Lusaka.

And Zambia United National Freedom Fighters Association Treasurer BETTY CHILUNGA has hailed Mrs MULUNDIKA for fighting for women’s rights ..

Mrs. CHILUNGA said the late freedom fighter will be celebrated for fighting for women to be granted pay during maternity leave.

And brother of Mrs MULUNDIKA, JOHN MALILA said the late freedom fighter was a unifier and a leader who brought families together.

Mrs. MULINDIKA passed away on March 13, 2022 in Lusaka after an illness.
