HH calls for stronger UAE-ZAMBIA Ties

Mwila Nsofu-President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called for strengthened ties between Zambia and the United Arab Emirates -UAE- to foster social economic development.President HICHILEMA says Zambia has a lot to learn from the UAE on how the country has transformed amidst Covid – 19 challenges.

He says Zambia needs to learn from the traits of UAE in the areas of planning, implementing and managing.

President HICHILEMA was speaking on arrival at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi in UAE.

The President was received by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs SHEIK SHAKHBOOT AL Nahyan and Commerce Minister CHIPOKA MULENGA.

The President who arrived at about 16:00 hours Zambian time is accompanied by Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister STANLEY KAKUBO.

President HICHILEMA appreciated the invitation by the leadership of the UAE to attend the Expo 2020 Dubai.

He said Zambia needs to maximize on the bilateral ties to improve and sustain the economy.

And SHIEK SHAKHBOOT AL NAHYAN said he values the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

He further called on the two countries to leverage on the ties in order to foster job creation and value addition to products.
