HH: BRITAIN,ZAMBIA TO STRENGTHEN RELATIONS

By Ruth Chayinda

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says British and Zambian Governments will continue to strengthen relations even under the new era of KING Charles the third.

President HICHILEMA says it is important the two countries continue to build on the relationship anchored on increased trade and investment.

He says doing so will enable the country to economically develop so that more resources are channeled to the social sectors.

President HICHILEMA was speaking shortly before departure for the United Kingdom this afternoon.

Meanwhile, British High Commissioner NICHOLAS WOOLLEY thanked government for accepting the invitation to attend the historic event in over 70 years.

Mr WOOLLEY said this will accord the UK and Zambia to use the coronation to celebrate the relations shared between the two countries.

He said while in the UK, the President is expected to hold meeting with the prime Ministers and members of that Government.
