HAKAINDE MOURNS WAR VETERAN MUSONKO

 

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is saddened to learn of the death of World War II veteran, BWALYA MUSONKO, who peacefully passed on yesterday.

President HICHILEMA says Zambia was blessed to have had such a gallant warrior who bravely fought in foreign lands in defence of freedom and liberty for the entire world.

The President says a man of extraordinary strength who lived to be 1- hundred and 3 years is a profound example of Zambia’s finest, worthy to be honoured and emulated by the citizens, especially young people.

In a statement on the President’s facebook page, President HICHILEMA said indeed a bright light has been extinguished in the country but the example of his heroism forever illuminates in hearts and nation.

President HICHILEMA said Zambians owe him a great debt of gratitude for his bravery and fortitude.
