GRANT UNVEILED AS CHIPOLOPOLO COACH

Former Chelsea Coach, AVRAM GRANT has been appointed as the New Chipolopolo Head Coach.

GRANT who takes over from ALIJOSA ASANOVIC has been appointed on a two year contract with options to extend based on performance.

Speaking during his unveiling in Lusaka today GRANT said Zambia has the potential to win titles and that he is has come to take football to higher heights.

The New Chipolopolo coach said he will demand hard work and discipline from the players as they have a duty to perform for the country.

And when asked about his ability to deal with pressure ,the Israeli National said he has the ability to deliver.

And Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- President ANDREW KAMANGA said with the coming of the new Coach, the Chipolopolo will return to being among the elite of African football.

KAMANGA expressed hope that GRANT’s coming will see to it that Chipolopolo gets back to winning ways and qualify to the AFCON as he is an accomplished coach.

He said with Government’s support laid out, the duty of the FA will be to reciprocate by bringing the desired results.

And FAZ- General Secretary ADRIAN KASHALA said the FA could not disclose the salary of the coach adding that the salary will be disclosed in due time as they have a Memorandum of understanding with Government.

The FA further disclosed that the Coach is allowed to come with one Assistant as the rest of technical bench will be a locally assembled team.
