GOVT,GERMANY TO CONDUCT YOUTH TRAINING

By Peter Tembo-Technology and Science Minister FELIX MUTATI says government in conjunction with Germany will conduct skills training for ten thousand youths across the country.

Mr. MUTATI says government will conduct skills training for ten thousand youths in various fields by 2026.

Speaking during the launch of the National Skills Empowerment program in Chongwe District, Mr. MUTATI said training of youths will focused in agriculture, technology and mining among others.

He added that training the youth skills is a way of addressing the unemployment crisis in Zambia.

And Germany’s Ambassador to Zambia Anne Mitchell said Germany will demonstrate its committed to help Zambia by empowering youth skills development programmes.

Ms. MITCHELL added that development of skills in youths is pivotal in reducing poverty levels in Zambia.

She was speaking at the skills event that was attended by Health Minister SILVIA MASEBO, Sports and Youth Minister ELVIS NKANDU, Mines Minister PAUL KABUSWE, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister ELIAS MUBANGA and Agriculture Minister REUBEN MUTOLO. .
