GOVT TO INTRODUCE BARBERSHOP EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME

Government says it will introduce a special empowerment package targeting youths in the barbershop businesses especially in rural parts of the country.

The beneficiaries of the empowerment will be receiving solar powered barbing kits to help in their operation.

Youth, Sports and Arts Minister ELVIS NKANDU says this will help youths to run their barbershops in the absence of electricity.

The Minister said this when he disbursed grants and football kits to several youths in Lupososhi District, Northern Province.

And, Mr NKANDU said government will continue finding solutions to challenges affecting the youths.

Meanwhile, Lupososhi Member of Parliament EMMANUEL MPANKATA has challenged the grant beneficiaries to use the money for the intended purposes.

And, one of the beneficiaries DELPHISTER BWALYA said her plan is to invest part of the money into fish business.
