Govt to fix medicine supply chain

Angela Limwanya-Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services LUCKSON KASONKA says the government is working to rectify challenges associated with medical supply to all health facilities in the country.

Professor KASONKA has told ZNBC News in an interview that the government is aware of complaints that some health facilities are facing challenges with medical supplies.

He has explained that the Ministry of Health is in the process of changing the procurement system so that it becomes more effective and less complicated than the previous administration to ensure all health facilities are fully equipped with medical supplies.

Professor KASONKA was responding to complaints by African Woman Foundation, Founder and President, JOSEPH MOYO on lack of medical supplies at the Livingstone Teaching Hospital.

Mr. MOYO called on the government to ensure all citizens get quality healthcare regardless of their economic status.
