GOVT TO ERADICATE CBPP IN WP BY 2025

(BBC ) Fisheries and Livestock Minister, MAKOZO CHIKOTE has called on livestock farmers in Western province to cooperate, as government enforces measures against the Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia -CBPP.

Mr CHIKOTE was speaking in Mongu, during a meeting with some Members of Parliament from different constituencies in Western province, and representatives of the Barotse Royal Establishment -BRE.

The Minister has explained that government wants to ensure that CBPP is completely eradicate in Western province by 2025.

And Western Province Minister, KAPELWA MBANGWETA has commended the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock for planning to eradicate CBPP in the region.

Meanwhile, the BRE Induna Inete, MWANGELWA SILUMBU said the traditional leadership fully supports government’s efforts to eradicate the disease in region.
