Govt to dismantle the debt owed to Resident Doctors

Government says it will dismantle the debt owed to the Resident Doctors Association of Zambia.

Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO was speaking at the launch of the 2024 Resident Doctors Association of Zambia scientific conference and annual general meeting in Kitwe.

Ms. MASEBO has called for stronger partnerships between private and the public sector to address challenges in the health sector such as corruption.

She said collaboration between the public and private sector is crucial to providing quality health care services in Zambia.

And Resident Doctors Association of Zambia President MWEUSHI MPHANDE praised the government on the open door policy on issues affecting resident doctors in the country.

Dr. MPHANDE has called on the government to look at the mushrooming of some unqualified private learning institutions which are offering substandard courses thereby affecting the country’s ability to provide quality health care services.

Meanwhile, Health Care Federation of Zambia Vice president KENNEDY SAINI has called for continuous collaboration between the private sector and the public sector in improving the quality of the healthcare system in Zambia through technology…
