GOVT TO BUILD PALACE FOR CHIEF MONZE

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says Government will start constructing a palace for Chief MONZE, in Monze District of Southern Province.

President HICHILEMA said this in a speech read on his behalf by Monze Central Member of Parliament JACK MWIIMBU, when he graced the Lwiindi Gonde Traditional Ceremony.

Mr. MWIIMBU said construction works will start immediately after the completion of the Lwiindi Gonde Traditional Ceremony.

He said government is committed to ensuring that decent housing is provided in all chiefdoms in the country.

Mr MWIIMBU, who is also Home Affairs Minister, said national development cannot be achieved without meaningful involvement of traditional leaders.

And, Chief MONZE said his subjects love peace and are only interested and focused on farming.
