Govt ‘Saves’ Barlastone Health Post from Being Sold by Citizen

The Ministry of Health and a local developer, who had put on sale Eden Health Post in Barlastone area of Lusaka, have agreed not to sale the facility.

Mwembeshi Ward 31 Councilor CHRISPIN KABOLE has told ZNBC News that both parties have agreed to allow the government facility not to be sold.

Mr. KABOLE says following a series of meetings, it has been agreed that further talks be held to find a way of compensating the developer who is the right owner of the land where the health post was built.

He says the community is now relieved that a health post which is the first of its kind in the area will not be sold.

And some residents spoken to welcomed the news that Eden Health Post will not be sold.
