GOVT REPOSITIONING MEDIA

Information and Media Minister CHUSHI KASANDA says the government is repositioning operations of the media sector in the country.

Ms. KASANDA says this will enable the media to be effective in carrying out its mandate.

She said this when the Media Liaison Committee handed over the Zambia Media Council draft bill of 2021, Zambia Media Council Regulations and the Zambia Media Council Code of Ethics at her office in Lusaka today.

And Media Liaison Committee Chairperson ENOCK NGOMA said the new dawn administration has shown good in engaging with the media.

Mr. NGOMA however appealed to the Minister to consider including at least one or 2 veteran journalists when appointing board members for the public media.
