GOVT RELEASES K20M TO FRA

Government has released twenty million kwacha to the Food Reserved Agency- FRA in northern province to pay farmers who sold their maize to the agency in Kasama and Mungwi district.
FRA northern regional accountant Andy Manda who confirmed the development to ZNBC news in Kasama, says the agency has received 9 million kwacha for Kasama district and 11 million kwacha for Mungwi to pay all the farmers in the two districts.
He says farmers will start receiving their money on Wednesday.
This comes barely a day after Kasama central member of Parliament Kelvin Sampa assured some farmers who stormed his office demanding an explanation why they have not yet received their money.
