Govt plans PPP’s for affordable housing

Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Minister CHARLES MILUPI says government wants to strengthen the capacity of Public Private Partnerships in order to ensure decent and affordable housing for citizens.

Mr. MILUPI says this is because government is working in close collaboration with the private sector to improve the country’s infrastructure.

He says government’s main focus is to have a progressive partnership at both international and local levels that will help bring innovative building ideas.

Mr. MILUPI said this at the 2022 National Housing Forum.

He said the theme of this year’s forum, “Housing Investment Strategies Towards Mass Development of Decent and Affordable Houses,” is exactly what the government is focusing on.

The Minister stated that the participation of the private sector will help grow the economy and create employment for Zambians.
