GOVT LAUNCHES RISK MANAGEMENT GUIDELINES

The Ministry of Finance has launched Risk Management Guidelines with the call for quasi institutions and the public sector to adopt and implement them to increase accountability and transparency.

Finance Minister SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE says the guidelines are essential to assist public bodies in establishing, implementing and improving risk management.

Dr. MUSOKOTWANE says the guidelines launched in Lusaka should also help public bodies achieve their objectives and mandate of providing quality, efficient and effective services.

And Germany Ambassador to Zambia ANNE WAGNER -MITCHEL said her country will continue to support the process to promote good governance and enhance financial transparency.

Meanwhile Acting Secretary to treasury KENNEDY MUSONDA said the risk management guidelines will contribute to good governance, optimal resource allocation and fiscal stability.
