GOVT DOING MORE TO PRESERVE WILD LIFE

Government has reaffirmed that it will ensure there is a cordial working relationship between communities in the preservation of wild life.
Tourism and Arts Minister Charles Banda says communities especially in rural areas play a vital role in the preservation of wildlife as they are stakeholders and custodians of wildlife.
Dr. Banda said this when he officiated at the Zambia National Community Resources Board Association C.R.B two-day conference in Lusaka.
He adds that President Edgar Lungu is always committed to Service delivery and decisions and matters that will be raised during the gathering should be written to his office.
And C.R.B President Felix Shanungu has called on the corporate world to come on board and help in sensitizing the community on the importance of wildlife.
Meanwhile, Chief Luembe of the Nsenga People in Eastern Province said government must consider partnering with rural communities in the preservation of wildlife.
