Govt did not facilitate Precious Hamululi release from jail-Mwiimbu

Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister JACK MWIIMBU has disputed allegations that the UPND Administration recommended for the release of PRECIOUS HAMULULI, alias PRECIOUS MAGANDE from MUKOBEKO Maximum Prison on August 9 2021.

Ms. HAMULUI is a self confessed Ex-Convict who narrated to a private tabloid and a Social Media Podcast how she stole 1-point 2-million dollars from a then ruling Patriotic Front party official in 2019.

Mr. MWIIMBU says the allegations are unfounded as the UPND Administration was not in power by then.

He has thus rejected the report recently published in one of private tabloids that the UPND Administration facilitated the release of Ms. HIMULULI from prison.

Mr. MWIMBU however says Ms. HAMULULI who was earlier incarcerated for three year in February 2020 met all the Amnesty Conditions that warranted her release from Prison on August 09, 2021.

This is according to a statement released to ZNBC News in LUSAKA today.
