Govt committed to supporting young and local innovation
Youth, Sport and Child Development Minister Moses Mawere says government is committed to supporting local innovation by young people in the country.
Speaking when he hosted local young innovators at the ministry of information and broadcasting services ahead of the International Youth Day which falls on 12th March, Mr Mawere says government will endeavor to support innovation by youths and ensure that it is sustained.
He says his ministry has lined up several activities ahead of the Youth day which includes the hosting of the national youth week and the National youth forum and entrepreneurs exhibition.
Mr Mawere says this year’s youth day main commemoration will be graced by President Edgar Lungu.
And speaking on behalf of the young innovators, Zambian Institute for Sustainable Development Executive Director Peter Lungu appealed to government to help young innovators sustain their innovations.
