GOVT COMMENDED FOR EMPOWERING ARTISTS

By Chansa Kunda- A Youth Activist Mwape Musonda has commended Government for fulfilling its promise to provide empowerment funds to artists in the country.

Mr. Musonda says the empowerment of over 150 artists will improve the country’s entertainment industry.

He says the money will enable the artists to grow their businesses and in turn engage other young people.

Mr. Musonda says the 30-million-kwacha empowerment fund which has been given with an affordable interest rate will make it easy for the beneficiaries to repay the loans.

He has since urged the beneficiaries to be prudent and ensure they pay back so that others can benefit from the same money.

Mr. Musonda has further thanked Government for coming up with various empowerment packages aimed at improving the livelihoods of Zambians.
