GOVERNMENT SETTLES LENSHINA FOLLOWERS

By Katwishi Bwalya-Over 80 families of the former followers of the Lenshina have been resettled in Mpika and Kanchibiya districts. Minister in the office of the Vice- President Sylvia Chalikosa says the families have been given permanent land. Ms. Chalikosa says government will now move in and ensure it provides social amenities to the families. Ms. Chalikosa said this when she visited Kwamama village in Mpika, which is a resettlement area for over 30 families of the former Lenshina followers. The Minister learnt that the resettlement has no access to clean and safe drinking water and assured the people that government will sink a borehole. Post Views: 2
