Good road network will unlock trade-Milupi

Etambuyu Katota-Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Minister CHARLES MILUPI says the Government is opening up key roads leading to neighbouring countries in order to promote trade.

Mr. MILUPI says this is part of interventions to promote the country’s economic development agenda by enhancing trade for Zambia and its neighbouring countries.

He says the new dawn administration understands that the country’s economic growth trajectory requires a well established road network.

Mr. MILUPI says increased trade will bring in foreign exchange that will stabilize the country’s currency and in turn lower the price of commodities.

He says a bad road network delays the transportation of goods such as fuel.

Mr. MILUPI was speaking when he checked on the Katete – Chanida Road leading to Chanida border.
