Global Times Online Launches China-Zambia Friendship Competition For Zambian Students

As a way of highlighting the long-standing relations between Zambia and China, the Global Times Online has launched a short video competition dubbed “the most beautiful stories of China-Zambia friendship” for students in colleges and universities in Zambia.

The competition, which seeks to depict the Zambia Regional Round of the Third “Belt and Road Short Video Competition”, is supported by China National Building Material Zambia Industrial Park and the Belt and Road Institute of Science and Technology (BRIST).

The competition whose aim showing how Zambia and China share the same destiny will also indicate the two countries’ determination to jointly promote cultural exchange.

In a statement by Global Times Online today, Participants in the competition may share their stories about the friendship between the people of the two countries as they see it, or show their impressions of China in the short videos.

They must submit their works online before September 19, 2021, and the entries should also be posted on the social media platforms of the participants with the hashtag #Worldkaleidoscope.

The competition will also have five third prize winners and the results will be officially announced at the end of September 2021.

All the entries should reflect the friendship between the people of Zambia and China as well as the cooperation and exchange initiatives between the two countries from the perspectives of the participants.

The short videos should be less than three minutes, with a minimum of one minute, while the resolution should not be lower than 1280 × 720. The video should be in MOV or MP4 format, and it is recommended that it is recorded in landscape mode.

The video recordings should be in English, with accurate subtitles. Application forms for the competition should be sent to video@huanqiu.com, and also posted with the hashtag #Worldkaleidoscope on social media platforms of the participant, such as on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Tik Tok.
