GHOST SCHOOL IN KABWE

A primary school, in Kabwe, Central province, is reportedly receiving government grants, despite being non-operational.

Central Province Permanent Secretary, MILNER MWANAKAMPWE has learnt that the school, which is in Kakumbi area, has no pupils, but 4 teachers have been deployed to the facility.

Mr. MWANAKAMPWE revealed that in 2004, the school was given 2-hundred and 40-thousand kwacha, to construct a classroom block, but the structure is still incomplete.

ZANIS reports that Mr. MWANAKAMPWE, who visited the school, has called for further investigations into the matter.
