Gassing : PF Wants Chemical Tested For Long Term Effects

By Prince Chiyuni-The Patriotic  Front -PF in Lusaka District has called on the Ministry of Health to establish if chemicals being used in gas attacks against people have any long term health effects. PF Lusaka District Chairman David Silubanje says it will be helpful  to quickly establish if the chemical might have long term effects on the victims. Mr. Silubanje has also appealed to the Zambia Environmental Management  Agency-ZEMA to establish whether the chemicals have any long term effects on the environment. Mr. Silubanje says it important that all relevant Ministries and Government Agencies work closely with the police. He was speaking during a media briefing held at Lusaka District PF Office. Mr. Silubanje   has condemned  the on-going gassing of innocent citizens and described it as barbaric. He said the current situation the country is going through requires concerted efforts in order to bring the culprits to book. Mr. Silubanje  has also called on police to arrest some disgruntled people who have taken advantage of the situation and are collecting money from unsuspecting  members of the public in the name of community patrols. He said while members of the public have a responsibility to help police with information, let the patrols be left to security wings of Government. Post Views: 7
