With only less than 24 hours remaining before the much anticipated Ndola derby between Indeni Roses and ZESCO Ndola Girls slated for Trade Fair Grounds, the ZamFoot Crew keeps building up to this game with interviews from both teams.

The latest player the ZamFoot Crew spoke with is Zegalicious midfielder Fridah Kabwe who shares with us what she expects from this mouthwatering encounter.

“The game against Indeni is not going to be easy because it’s a local derby, we all know each other very well, but I am so sure we are going to collect maximum points because our coach has done everything possible for us during training so that we carry the day because we aim to go up on the log standing so we are pushing for a positive result in this game.”

Kabwe who has so far scored 3 goals this season including a brace last weekend against BUSA Queens said she will continue pushing and working hard so that she can earn herself a place in the national team.

“My aim in each game is to work hard and score, I scored two goals against BUSA Queens last weekend so am always pushing myself to work very hard so that I can be called to the national team due to my hard work. As a team, we want to finish in the top position so this makes me fight and follow the instructions from the coach, and am looking forward to scoring against Indeni,” she said.

The last time Indeni and ZESCO met was 2 years ago and both sides shared 0-0 spoils and this will be Kabwe’s first Ndola Derby and she knows very well that pressure will be there but she expects to overcome it.

“Pressure is always there but I know myself once am on the field of play that feeling goes away and we are ready to take them on in this do or die fixture, we will work hard for maximum points.”

Kabwe joined ZESCO Ndola Girls on 9th August 2019 from Kitwe Girls, but before then she used to play in her home town of Central Province for Makululu Stars who are campaign in the Central Province Zone A league and her goal is to play professional football.

” I believe in myself I will make it one day, I work with the 3D’s, Discipline, Dedication and Determination, this keeps me moving and I will never give up until I achieve my goal of playing professional football.”

ZESCO Ndola Girls will be at home but away from home as this fixture has been moved from Indeni Sports Complex to Trade Fair Grounds which they are very much familiar with because it will be broadcasted on ZNBC TV3 and televised live on Top Star decoders and will be the first of the doubleheader with kick-off set at 13:00hrs.
