FQM- Co-Founder dies

First Quantum Minerals -FQM- Co-Founder and Chairman PHILIP PASCALL has died.

Mr. PASCALL died at his home in Perth, Western Australia.

FQM Country Manager GODWIN BEENE has confirmed the death of Mr. PASCALL in Lusaka this evening.

Dr. BEENE said Mr. PASCALL drove FQM’s focus on projects execution, operational excellence and social responsibility.

He said FQM in Zambia will continue to build on Mr. PASCALL’s legacy.

Dr. BEENE adds that the Australian mining giant’s projects in Zambia are important to FQM’s investment.

Mr. PASCALL built FQM from a small mineral reprocessing plant into a multi-national diversified mining company that employs tens of thousands of people in countries where it operates.
