FAZ/Eden University National Division One side Indeni Football club has confirmed the appointment of former Zanaco assistant coach Dabid Chilufya as their new head coach.

The Club took to Facebook to announce the appointment of the former Forest Rangers boss.

Chilufya takes over from Mathews Ndhlovu who has been demoted to coach the junior sides while waiting to finish out his contract which expires next month.

Indeni football management would like to announce the new head coach for the club. After interviewing three coaches for the vacant coaching job, Indeni has settled for former Zanaco assistant trainer Dabid Chilufya as head coach.

“Chilufya takes over from Mathews Ndhlovu, who has been relegated to the junior team pending the expiry of his contract next month.”

The former HCB Songo assistant coach has been handed a six months contract. He was part of the Konkola Blades technical bench on a voluntary basis having been sent on indefinite leave at Zanaco back in September 2019.

The Oil Men are currently third on the log with 46 points and just one point adrift of log leaders Prison Leopards and Young Green Eagles as they hope to continue their quest for promotion when and if the season resumes after the Coronavirus epidemic.
