FODEP ADDS VOICE TO DIALOGUE

The Foundation for Democratic Process -FODEP- is happy that the long-awaited National Dialogue for political parties is taking shape.
FODEP Executive Director Mweenge Chimfwembe says democracy is centered on dialogue and Zambia is an inspiration of peace to other countries.
Mr. Chimfwembe says it is important for political parties to remain committed and put aside their differences and focus on broader national issues affecting the country.
He has further advised the church and the Zambia Centre for Interparty Dialogue -ZCID- to start ironing out their differences away from the media.
Mr. Chimfwembe says this will help build confidence among citizens on the National dialogue process.
The FODEP Chief was speaking to ZNBC news in Lusaka.
Yesterday, the three church mother bodies set January 5th, 2019 as official date for launch of the national dialogue after a meeting with over 30 opposition political parties.
