Bauleni United Sports Academy (BUSA) Queens this afternoon recorded their second home victory of the season after they silenced YASA Queens 4-1 at the New Margaret Mwanakatwe Bauleni Stadium in a rescheduled week 7 encounter in the FAZ Women’s Super League encounter.

BUSA was going into this game coming from a goalless draw against Queens Academy while YASA defeated Zambian Institute For Sustainable Development (ZISD) Women Football Club 3-0 so there were a lot of expectations especially that YASA had never lost a game in as many matches as they have played this season.

However, BUSA’s Tisilile Lungu who was voted as the fans player of the match scored a brace while Regina Chanda and Elizabeth Lubasha contributed with a goal each to inflict a painful first loss of the season to YASA who found the back of the net through Patricia Lampi as the scores ended 4-1 in favor of BUSA who are known as Giant Killers.

The Coach Kaluba Kangwa drilled lasses were too strong for the Coach Tafara Phiri tutored girls who felt they could have done better in this match.

BUSA are unbeaten in their last 4 games, winning three and drawing one managing a total of 10 points out of a possible 12 points.

BUSA has now moved up on the log standings from 10th to position 6 on 15 points while YASA has maintained 3rd place with 20 points from 11 games played.

BUSA’s next assignment is another home game against Police Dove Queens on 2nd June 2021 which is a match week 26 brought forward, and a few days later the Fearless Dove Queens will battle YASA Queens at Hospice Grounds.

Elsewhere in Ndola, Indeni Roses continued with their impressive performance in the season after they defeated Queens Academy 1-0 in a tight match played at Indeni Sports Complex.

After settling to a goalless draw, Rhoda Chileshe who seems to have found her rhythm in the game since she came back from injury scored her first goal of the season which proved to be enough as The Oilo Ladies corrected maximum points via a 1-nil scoreline to go on 24 points while Queens remains with 14 points on 8th position

Indeni’s next assignment is a home game against BUSA Queens while Queens was scheduled to visit Red Arrows who are not playing their games at the moment due to several players currently in camp with the senior women’s national team.

FAZ Women’s Super League Week 13 action continues on Sunday in a local Derby as Lusaka Dynamos entertain National Assembly in a cracker that will be broadcasted on ZNBC TV3 and televised on Top Star with kick-off set for 13:00hrs at Lusaka’s Woodlands Stadium.
