The Football Association of Zambia-FAZ has announced plans to set up a Coaching School with the support of the Croatian Football Association.

FAZ Deputy Secretary General JOSEPH CHIPAMPWE says this is aimed at improving the coaching standards for local coaches.

Mr. CHIPAMPWE says plans are underway and once all requirements are put in place, works will commence.

He says FAZ and the Croatian Football Association have already signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

Mr. CHIPAMPWE said this in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka.

Meanwhile, Zambia Association of Football Coaches President DANNY KABWE has welcomed the move saying it will enhance the association’s efforts towards improving the skills for local coaches.

Mr. KABWE adds that the initiative will also reduce the cost of sending coaches out of the country for training.
