FAZ TO APPEAL U17 KICK OUT FROM AFCON

The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- has officially written to the Confederation of African Football CAF over its decision to kick Zambia’s under 17 side out of the Africa Cup of Nations.

FAZ Acting General Secretary IVA LENGWE says Football House is inquiring on how CAF arrived at a decision to rule Zambia out of the competition.

LENGWE says once CAF explains how they arrived at the decision, FAZ will decide whether to appeal the decision or not.

Zambia last night beat Morocco 2-1 and has a better goal difference than South Africa.

ZAMBIA should have progressed to the next round of the competition but CAF ruled that it is South Africa progressing to the next round.
