FAZ in K2.8 million boast after Copper Queens Quarter final berth

The Copper Queens have secured $175, 000 (ZMK2.8 million) for the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) at the on going Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

This follows the team’s qualification to the quarter finals.

Should the Copper Queens advance to the semi finals then they will pocket an extra $50, 000 ( around ZMK820, 000) for the FA.

A place in the final will earn the team $300, 000 and $500, 000 as runners up and Champions respectively.

Grace Chanda and co have already pocketed $4500 each after their heroics in the opening two matches at the tournament in winning bonuses.

Zambia were held by Cameroon and stunned Tunisia with a late win.

The Copper Queens will face Togo in the final Group B match.
