FAZ Confident of Fustal Team ahead of AFCON

By Wilson Mulinda

The Football Association of Zambia FAZ says it has made significant progress in preparing the futsal national team for the AFCON that kicks off next month.

FAZ General Secretary REUBEN KAMANGA says the association has hired a physical trainer for the team in readiness for the tournament.

KAMANGA says a goalkeeper coach has also been identified to work with the technical bench because most teams that qualified are experienced.

He told ZNBC News in an interview that the easiest route to the semi finals for the team is victory in the first two games, as they only face the hosts Morocco in the final group match.

KAMANGA has also called on the corporate world to come on board and support the team as it aims to bring glory to the country.

The top 3 teams at the Futsal AFCON will qualify to the World Cup which will be held in Uzbekistan.
