Farm blocks have potential to increase agriculture production

Central Province Agricultural Coordinator ALEX CHILALA says farm block model remains a strategic area that can increase agriculture production and employment creation.

Mr CHILALA says government has partnered with the African Development Bank (AfDB) through the Nansanga Commodity Value Chain Transformation Project to help actualise the development of Nansanga Farm Block in Serenje district of Central Province.

Mr CHILALA was speaking during the recent environmental and social safeguard preparatory meeting held in Serenje.

Meanwhile Serenje District Commissioner PAUL MASUWA said the actualisation of Nansanga Farm Block will have a multiplier effect with regards to job creation and tax contribution.
