ELECTRIFICATION RATE STILL LOW-REA

The Rural Electrification Authority -REA- is concerned that the electrification rate in Zambia has remained low no matter strides made in taking electrical energy to rural areas.
REA Chief Executive Officer Geoffrey Musonda says electrical energy accumulate entry to rate has remained at about Four.Four p.c for households connected to the national grid and 7.eight p.c for households having access to solar energy.
