ECZ SETS DATE FOR FRESH NOMINATIONS

By Hector Simfukwe- The Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ- has set Monday July 12, 2021 as the date for fresh nomination for some Parliamentary, Mayoral and local government elections.

The affected Parliamentary seats are Chawama, Mandevu, Mafinga, Mpulungu and Kasenengwa with one mayoral election in Luanshya District.

ECZ Corporate Affairs Manager PATRICIA LUHANGA says candidates should meet all the requirement before they can be allowed to file their nomination.

And Ms. LUHANGA says campaigns which started on the May 12 and will end on August 11, 2021.

She has also urged stakeholders to adhere to COVID 19 regulations as they conduct their campaigns.
