ECZ changed our results in Kanyama – Maureen

United Party for National Development (UPND) losing mayoral candidate and former First Lady Maureen Mwanawasa has accused the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) of trying to manipulate the Kanyama constituency results.
Dr Mwanawasa also said she had to intervene for ECZ to revert back to the original results.
“They are trying to steal this election from us in the presidential election. Today I was shocked to discover that more than 14,000 votes were stolen from HH in Kanyama Constituency. The ECZ officers deliberately left out results from 20 polling streams until I went and forced them to correct the figures.” Dr Mwanawsa explained
“HH was originally given 17,985 votes for Kanyama and after the correction, the figure for HH reached 32,024. The Returning Officer for the totalling center for Kanyama Constituency is Clement Mwanamonze assisted by Jailos Mwamba,” she explained in a Facebook posting where she has even attached the video of her narrating the ordeal.
